How pricing works

The service that checks the agent pays. In the spec, the “relying party”. A monthly fee includes a set number of checks; checks above it are billed one by one.

A DENY costs the same as an ALLOW. The product is the signed, re-verifiable receipt with a reason code, and a denial is exactly the decision you need to be able to trust later.

Companies that give their agents permissions pay nothing. In the spec, the “principal”. A company that proves it owns its domain and signs permissions for its agents is never charged. That is deliberate.

Overage steps down as you move up, so committing to a tier is always cheaper per verification than paying overage on the one below it.

Founding pilot

$1,500 a month, flat, for up to 2 million checks ($0.004 above). Self-serve: sign up, get a key, add one API call, with a shared channel to our team if you get stuck. The price is locked for 12 months. Month to month, with 30 days’ notice. Companies whose agents buy never pay to issue permissions.

What every tier includes

ALLOW or DENY with the first failing check as a stable reason code (for example AUTHORITY_REVOKED, PROOF_REPLAYED, AMOUNT_EXCEEDS_AUTHORITY).
A signed Decision Receipt for every verification, ALLOW and DENY alike.
Receipts and the evidence they reference retrievable by hash for seven years, as v0.2 specifies.
Offline re-verification: anyone holding a receipt and its evidence can reproduce the decision without calling Delegus, using the open protocol.
Revoking is designed so that once it succeeds, every later check sees it.
Daily usage reports for each checking service.

Questions

Is sign-up self-serve?

Yes. Sign up at app.delegus.ai with your work email and you get a verify key straight away; the quickstart walks through your first signed decision.

Do I pay for a DENY?

Yes, the same as an ALLOW. You are paying for the signed decision, and a denial with a reason is the decision that matters most later.

What counts as a verification?

One check that returns a yes or no answer (a call to /verify). Each service can set a rate limit, which guards against a runaway or misconfigured caller.

Is there a free tier?

There’s a free sandbox with no card. Production starts with a 14-day trial when you add a card, then Starter at $99 a month. The development sandbox used by the live demo also stays free for evaluation and CI.

Is billing self-serve?

Yes. For Starter, Growth or Scale, add a card on the console’s Billing page, and you can switch between them there. The 14-day free trial is Starter’s; Growth and Scale start billing when you choose them. A founding pilot or Enterprise can be requested from the Billing page or by email; both are invoiced.

Do Principals pay anything?

No.
